Pink Party 2026, sponsored by University Health, was an unforgettable evening of Fun, Food, and Fellowship with a Purpose! We are humbled by your generosity, which made the evening a tremendous success. The celebration benefits ThriveWell Cancer Foundation’s Diva Program, and the outpouring of support from sponsors, donors, and community members helps provide resources to empower cancer patients to thrive.

From survivor celebrations to the energizing performances by ThriveWell’s Dancing Divas, heartfelt patient testimonials, an exciting silent auction, and a vibrant pink market, every moment reflects the resilience and strength of our pink sisters affected by cancer.  Wendy Scott, Wanda Huffins, and Christina Martinez shared their personal stories with us. These three remarkable Divas embody the spirit and resilience at the center of our mission.

In Loving Memory and Celebration

We held close the memory of Betsy “Chappy B” Buhler during Pink Party 2026. Her strength, faith, compassion, and unwavering spirit touched countless lives, and her legacy continues to inspire.

Impact and Gratitude

What an incredible milestone! Together, the Pink Party and Paint the Parkway Pink 5K raised an amazing $320,000 to support ThriveWell’s mission.  100 percent of Pink Party proceeds go directly to ThriveWell Cancer Foundation’s Diva Program.

This free health and wellness initiative delivered over 2,900 health and wellness classes to cancer patients and survivors in 2025 across San Antonio and New Braunfels.  These classes represent moments of healing, connection, and empowerment for those on their cancer journey.

We extend our deepest thanks to University Health, whose leadership as Presenting Sponsor made this celebration possible. We are equally grateful to every donor and sponsor whose generosity ensures ThriveWell can continue offering these vital programs at no cost to those who need them the  most.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Dr. Jean Holt and all the members of the Pink Party Steering Committee for their dedication, vision, and commitment to creating an event that honors and supports our community. On Saturday, October 10th, 2026, over 1,100 participants came together at the San Antonio Police Training Academy for the 14th Annual Paint the Parkway Pink 5K Fun Run, proudly sponsored by University Health! Whether you were running in honor of a loved one, in memory of a hero, or celebrating your own journey, you helped turn the Police Training Academy PINK. 💗

A BIG THANK YOU to University Health, the Holt family and all sponsors! You made this day possible, and we are so grateful for your leadership and commitment to our community. Thank you for standing with us as we work to help every patient and family THRIVE.

Thank you, San Antonio Police Training Academy! We are deeply grateful for the use of your grounds and for the support your team and cadets provided throughout the day. Your hospitality and hard work helped make this run possible and kept everything smooth for our pink warriors and survivors.

Survivors, warriors, friends, family, and neighbors filled the course with energy and purpose, and together we showed what it means to THRIVE as a community. Runners and walkers received commemorative race t-shirts, while young runners ages 8 and under received special ribbons and goodie bags to celebrate their finish. Those who joined the Chappy B Mile Walk enjoyed an untimed, fun walk open to all ages and abilities.

The After Party was the perfect finish! Participants kept the celebration going until 11:30 AM at the Paint the Parkway Pink After Party, sponsored by The START Center for Cancer Care. Guests enjoyed delicious food from BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse and The Magnolia Pancake Haus, along with live music from Alamo City Heat. It was a joyful way to connect with survivors, participants, families, and friends to raise awareness for breast cancer.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Betsy “Chappy B” Buhler following her long and courageous battle with cancer.

Chappy B was known, loved, and admired by so many. Her strength, faith, compassion, and unwavering spirit touched countless lives and made a lasting impact throughout our community.

Her passing leaves a tremendous hole in the hearts of all who knew her. While we grieve this immeasurable loss, we will continue to honor Chappy B’s legacy at the Paint the Parkway Pink race through the Chappy B Mile, celebrating the love, hope, courage, and determination she shared so generously with others.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and everyone whose life was changed by knowing her. Chappy B will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
